Living in London, I don't need to many reasons to go to Paris. A poker tournement, and a friend from LA visiting was good enough.Eurostared there in 3.5 hours. Staying at Charlie's my good friend of several years. I first meet Mai Britt who is in town from Pego Spain. She had lived in Paris for about 10 years before spain and we had plently of long drinking nights there with Malene.
Next up, Josh, Amy and Johanna. Josh and I met Johanna in 1993 in back in LA. We were young, single, and having fun. Now Johanna is married with a kid, Josh is traveling Europe with is Girlfriend Amy, and I am single single, having fun, and kinda young. The three of us have not been together since that time, so this was a quaint reunion. picked up her convertible Mercedes, and off to dinner on her. 
L Aviation. Right off the most beautiful most famous street in the world Champs Elysee is the L Aviation casino. I have been dropping by for the last couple years everytime I am in Paris. This place is like the James bond casino with square chips, strict dress code, and classic upscale decor. I decided to play the 500 Euro pot limit tourney. I am not found of pot limit, but I was not busy that night and had to be in London during the weekend. Only 64 players. I struggled big time for the first 3 hours, and thought by that break I was pretty much done with 20 players left. However, by some miracle all ins and some pretty conservative smart tournement play, I managed to squeak into the final table. I busted out in 8th with AK losing to QQ. For my time I made 90 euros which I thought was sad for making a final table. With my Eurostar ticket, it was a losing trip for that matter.
