Finanical Conference/....concert?

So the real reason I came to NY this time, aside from a free flight using miles & stay free with with a good friend & look for European bound shipping opportunies, was to attend the Barron's Annual Financial Conference today. Barons does a huge conference every year for its shareholders showcasing their top holdings presented by CEOs, options by their top fund managers, and wraps it up with surprise entertainment. Although I do own some Barons growth fund, the amount I own isn't enough for me to qualify, but i can always manage an invite. This event becomes increasingly popular each year and the only suitable and big enough venue to hold it is and at metropolitan opera house. Next year may be Madison Square Garden.

I should have some energy after eating so many chocolate crosaints, but manage to sleep through some presentations along with all the other senior citzens. However,  after watching Venessa williams perform the musical showboat highlights during lunch, i woke up. Then more presentations, and for the surprise musical guests, from pretty much the best band ever, Paul McCarty. At the ripe age of 72, he gave his heart of in his performance and got through seniors on their feet. Na...Na Na Na manana na....hey jude. Legendary for a reason.

And how do I follow up this epic day but eat at the best resturant in ny, which is pretty much the best resturant in the us. Le Bernardin.  Of course, being alone and having no reservation, i just sampled the lobster cappuccino in the lounge. I shall return for more one day, but for now, every mouthful was impeccable.

.....the best, then the best, then the best.

That sounds like a pretty unique day in the Big Apple. Great story-telling, Bob!
